Posterized Digital Duck Selfie

This is another art piece that I created using the Sketchbook App. As seen in many of my other art pieces done via using Sketchbook, I have placed an extra layer ontop of the original image and added a digital colouring over it. The way I am able to use the realistic colours from the original image is by using the absorb tool and selecting certain colour tones found on the original image.

By doing this, I am able to use my art style of "Posterizing" an image and allowing only a selection of tones to be used, yet still be able to identify art techniques like tone, lighting and many others found in the world of art. In addition to this, I am able to use this style to connect the style of realism to the style of abstract, many call this "Semi-Realism". This is found when there is an equal amount of realism and abstract art style in a single art piece and I believe I have captured that here.
